# Generating Files

> Flavia can generate new files

Flavia can generate new files live in sessions. For example, it can apply analysis to an input file and generate an output data file as the result.

This can be particularly useful when you want to edit, combine, and manipulate datasets for future use.

Newly generated files are saved and can be viewed and downloaded in the 'Sources' tab.
